Stylized Project – Collaboration with Natalie Gall

Given the brief to experiment with Maya’s Mash system using a 3D model, I found some nice references, did a quick sketch and created a floating island. I took this chance to explore a more stylised finish and then collaborated with Natalie Gall, who composed the music, to produce a short stylised music video.

I took various sources of inspiration from Japanese culture, mimicking a bonsai cherry blossom tree. I also referenced various images of Japanese statues to create the small guardian statues (Jizo) and stone lantern.
